On April 1st, an early morning fire in a residential section of Bradford destroyed a garage and car.

The Bradford City Fire Department was dispatched to a reported "fully involved" garage fire at 3:30 am.

Tower 1 and Engine 1 responded with four firefighters under the command of Captain Al Pingie. Upon arrival, both the car and garage were fully involved with two nearby homes exposed to the flames.

Utility lines had burned through and dropped to the ground limiting access to the fire by firefighters and causing a power outage in the area that affected 850 residents.

Firefighters deployed three, one and three quarter inch attack lines to extinguish the fires.

The two nearby homes suffered minor heat and smoke damage. The garage and 2005 Honda were completely destroyed.

Firefighters were on the scene for two and one half hours.

The Pennsylvania state police fire marshal unit is investigating the cause of the fire.

There were no injuries.
