The Budd Lake Fire Department kept busy on April 2nd into Monday April 3rd, with two working fires.

After returning around 8pm on Sunday from a fatal house fire in the Flanders Section of the township, they were awakened around 1:30 am on Monday morning with a report of a structure fire at the corner of Waterloo and First Street.

First arriving companies found a six foot by six foot shed filled with lawn equipment, propane tanks, tires and a fence fully involved in fire with extension to a car parked next to the shed.

Engine 53 stretched a 1 3/4" hand line as well as using the deck gun to extinguish the fire in 10 minutes.

There were no injuries and the Flanders Fire Company was dispatched but canceled.

The fire in under investigation by the Mt. Olive Fire Marshal Office and the Mt. Olive Police Department.
