Structure Fire in LaGrange, Georgia

LaGrange Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire this morning finding a single family residence with heavy flame involvement.

LaGrange, Georgia, March 18, 2006 - LaGrange Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire this morning finding a single family residence with heavy flame involvement.

Third Battalion Deputy Buddy Baker arrived on scene and reported a working fire at 204 Revis Street. Baker ordered a defensive attack due to heavy flames throughout the structure.

Two attack lines were put in operation. Enough fire was knocked down enabling interior crews to enter and conduct search and rescue operations.

The 6:57 am blaze was brought under control within 20 minutes.

The resident, who was home alone when the fire occurred, escaped without injury.

The cause is listed as under investigation.
