On March 3, 2006, the Riverside County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision, cut & rescue in the City of Rubidoux.

On March 3, 2006, the Riverside County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision, cut & rescue in the City of Rubidoux.

First arriving Engine Company (E-38) Reported they had one Big Rig carrying two trailers of powdered cement up side down leaking fuel, and two passenger vehicles with major damage.

There was a total of 6 victims, two were ejected from the impact, one victim with a severed arm passed away on scene, and the others were critical. Two major injuries, and two minor. The driver of the big rig was trapped inside of the cab and had to extricated.

The Riverside County Fire Departments Hazardous Materials Team was requested to aid in the clean up of the fuel leak and the materials in the trailers.

The incident was handled with one battalion chief, two other overhead personnel, three engines, one truck, 2 ambulance, a Hazmat unit, and one Hazmat support unit.
