Dwelling Fire in Camden, New Jersey

City of Camden, New Jersey, Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the 400 block of Winslow Street for the reported dwelling fire with children trapped.

City of Camden, New Jersey, Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the 400 block of Winslow Street for the reported dwelling fire with children trapped.

Camden Police and UMDNJ EMS 22 arrived to find a working fire at 1875 South 4th St. heavy fire from the rear extending down the row. Battalion 1 (Harper) arrived and put all hands to work, companies made an aggressive interior attack.

All occupants were accounted for, and the neighbors were removed to homes across the street or the city ambulances.

An additional engine and truck were requested and companies made quick work of the fire.

One firefighter was transported to Cooper Hospital for minor burns, no civilian injuries were reported.

Crews operated in below freezing temperatures.
