Structure Fire in Washingtonville, New York

Around 1pm, on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 36 control dispatched the Washingtonville Fire Department to a reported structure fire at 29 Goshen Road.

Washingtonville, NY- Around 1pm, on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 36 control dispatched the Washingtonville Fire Department to a reported structure fire at 29 Goshen Road.

Upon arrival of Washingtonville Command the 2nd alarm was struck for the box. The 2nd alarm brought tankers from Chester, Monroe, Sailsbury Mills, Maybrook, and Campbell Hall to the scene as well as an engine from So. Blooming Grove, and FAST Team from Vails Gate. Campbell Hall covered the tanker fill site.

Station coverage for Washingtonville was provided by Maybrook with an engine and Cornwall with a tanker, Maybrook also received coverage from the Montgomery and Coldenham Fire Departments.

Blooming Grove VAC stood-by at the scene with an ambulance and a medic.

Orange County Deputy Fire Coordinator 15 also responded to assist Washingtonville command. Orange County Fire Investigators were called to the scene to attempt to determine a cause and origin of the blaze, initial reports from the caller stated that a wood stove had set the wall on fire.
