2- Alarm Building Fire in Harrison Township, New Jersey

Around 7pm, on February 24th, Harrison Township Fire Departments 23-2 (Ewan) and 23-1 (Harmony) were dispatched to 322 Ewan Road for a report of adwelling fire (located approximately 500 to 600 feet from Station 23-2).

Around 7pm, on February 24th, Harrison Township Fire Departments 23-2 (Ewan) and 23-1 (Harmony) were dispatched to 322 Ewan Road for a report of adwelling fire (located approximately 500 to 600 feet from Station 23-2).

Initial reports from Harrison Township police upon dispatch, was a 2-story dwelling heavily involved.

Upon arrival of the first fire officer, he reported a 2-story dwelling fully involved and immediatly requested a second alarm. This brought apparatus from Elk, Mantua and South Harrison townships, Franklinville; and an RIT assignment from Deptford Township.

Firefighters immediatly deployed handlines to protect surrounding exposures, while a water supply was established. Once water supply was established firefighters went into service with master streams, knocking down the bluk of the fire.

Crews remained on location for several hours performing overhaul.

No injuries were reported.
