At approximately 11:30 am, the Forest View Fire Department responded to a call for an auto accident on I-55 south bound lanes around Harlem Avenue.
Upon arrival command requested additional engines and ambulances advising two tools going to work for multiple extrications.
Within 5 minutes in command requested an ambulance box and additional engines and squads for extrication. A total of 6 additional ambulances responded along with special requests for a Lyons Squad and Loyola Life Flight.
Two fatalities were reported by command.
It is unknown to me which car the fatal was involved, but one could guess.
All companies remained on scene for at least an hour.
