Upon arrival on Jan. 25, the fire was heavily involved in the barn and all sections of the home. The chances of saving the main house seemed doubtful.

Through the hard work and sustained efforts of fire department crews in zero-degree weather, they were able to save this 275 year old home and many of its contents. The mutual cooperation at the scene and at the tanker shuttle demonstrates our great working relationship with our neighbors.

Personnel from the Cumberland, Freeport, Falmouth, Gray, North Yarmouth, and Windham responded to provide mutual aid either operating at the scene, in the tanker shuttle operation, or with station coverage.
