Chicago Firefighters were toned out for a fire in a sandwich shop north of Peterson. First companies on the scene reported a fire in a one- story commercial structure with exposure to another store.

First companies on the scene reported a fire in a one- story commercial structure with exposure to another store.

The first Chief on scene box the fire and asked for an extra rit team due to putting tower 23 to work. While opening the roof at this fire a fire fighter was injured when the roof went in and a fire ball surrounded him while on the ladder. Command requested a mayday and a 2-11 alarm.

Firefighters worked through the morning to fight this fire.

The fire is under investigation by Chicago Fire Department Office of Fire Investigation.
