Fire Destroys 100 Year Old Home in Stephensburg, Kentucky

At 12:55 am, on Thursday, January 19th, Chris Peters awoke to find heavy smoke filling his home at 607 Franklin Crossroads. He and the other occupants escaped the house without injury and called the fire department, but the house was already fully involved.

Stephensburg Fire Department arrived at 1:03 am and remained until 10pm, Thursday evening. West 84 and White Mills Fire Departments provided mutual aid. A total of eight apparatus were in service, and nineteen firefighters fought to control the blaze.
