On January 14, 2004, Springfield, Massachusetts firefighters battled a house fire on Treemont Street in the city of Springfield. During the night time blaze firefighters battled extreme cold temperatures which caused water problems with area hydrants.
The fire caused extensive damage to the second floor of the house.
Firefighters protected an adjacent house from heat conditions.
