At 05:30 on Friday January 9, 2004, the Elizabethtown Fire Dept. responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on I-65 near the 91mm exit.
Engine 20, Ladder 1, Batt. Chief 2, and Chief 200 responded to the scene. Upon arrival, Chief 200 advised of a tractor trailer over the concrete wall of the Hawkins Drive overpass.
The driver of the truck escaped without injuries. The Elizabethtown area was experiencing moderate snowfall at the time of the accident.
