New Jersey Motor Vehicle Accident Injures 6

At 7:11 AM on Sunday, January 4, 2004, an accident in Raritan Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, sends 6 to the hospital and closes high way for 2 hours.

The accident occurred in front of Quest Fitness, in a construction zone on Route 31 when a car crossed over the center line, sideswiping a pick up truck then hitting a Jeep Cherokee head on.

Driver and passengers of the Jeep were able to free themselves but victims in the car had to be extricated by the Flemington-Raritan Rescue Squad.

The of the victims in the care were flown by helicopters to Trauma Centers in Newark and Trenton. Two victims from the Jeep were taken by ground to Hunterdon County Medical Center and the third was flown to Morristown Medical Center.
