Firefighters from Wakefield MA and surrounding communities advance hose lines into a 1 1/2 story wood frame house during a 2nd alarm fire on December 29th.
First arriving companies reported heavy smoke showing from the home, which is used as a group home for the handicapped. Firefighters brought the blaze under control in about an hour after they encountered heavy fire conditions in the basement which extended through the roof.
All occupants of the home were accounted for safely.
