Lake Bluff, Illinois Firefighters Fight New Years Day House Fire

Lake Bluff Firefighters were toned out to South Sheridan Road for a report of a structure fire.

Lake Bluff Firefighters were toned out to South Sheridan Road for a report of a structure fire.

First units on scene had a large 2 1/2 story house with heavy fire blowing out the rear and over the house.

Command requested a box alarm due to the size of this house and being 5am.

Lake bluff command made this a defensive fire right away and requested all mutual aid companies upon arrival check in with the deputy chief for assignments in the front yard.companies worked most of the morning to control this fire.

Firefighters had to use ground ladders to access the second floor due to the floor being burned off.
