Smoke Detectors Awaken Family Near Joshua, Texas

The Joshua Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 2:56, on Wednesday, December 21, 2005.

Smoke detectors woke up a family west of Joshua, Texas.

When they got up the whole front of the house was in flames.

The Joshua Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 2:56, on Wednesday, December 21, 2005.

Mutual aid was requested from the following neighboring towns: Godley Volunteer Fire Department, Mid North Volunteer Fire Department, and Keene Fire Department.

The home was located on Farm to Market Road 917, and by the time the Joshua Volunteer Fire Department arrived, the roof had already collapsed on the brick home.

No injuries were reported.

The Red Cross was called to assist the family.
