Coldenham, New York Firefighters Battle 2- Alarm Restaurant Fire

COLDENHAM, NEW YORK - At around 1:30 am, Wednesday, December 21st, the Coldenham Fire Department was alerted for a structure fire at 601 Rte 17K, the Taste of Texas Restaurant.

COLDENHAM, NEW YORK - At around 1:30 am, Wednesday, December 21st, the Coldenham Fire Department was alerted for a structure fire at 601 Rte 17K, the Taste of Texas Restaurant.

Coldenham command (Chief Mike Keenan) arrived on scene and reported a fire in a neon sign that had extended to the structure, moments later he requested a 2nd alarm with an additional Tanker Task force a short while later.

Units from Maybrook, Montgomery, Walden, Orange Lake & Stewart Air Guard along with the Town of Montgomery Ambulance assisted on scene with Good Will & Wallkill on standby.

The fire which appeared to originate in a sign on the building quickly extended to the attic area is under investigation by the Orange County Fire Investigation Unit.
