The masonry and steel bow truss structure was used as a maintenance facility by Rotary Drilling Services, a blast hole and well drilling equipment company.

On November 30, 2003, Clearfield County stations 14 and 22 along with Centre County stations 11, 12 and EMS station 23 were dispatched at approximately 0035 hours to a 14 Box, reported structure fire at 1652 Walton St., Decatur Township, Clearfield County.

Engine 1110, arriving first, dropped 800 feet of 5 inch from a hydrant at the NW corner of the property and laid into the front of the industrial structure. With heavy fire showing from the office area in the center, the engine crew stretched a 2 1/2 and a 1 3/4 preconnect as Tower 12 and engine 14 arrived.

Over eight other area departments assisted at the scene and covered for the working stations.
