Maryland crews converged on Ocean View, Delaware to battle a multiple alarm building fire at the Cedar Shores Apartments off of Cedar Neck Road on Tuesday morning, December 6th.

The 1am blaze was in Millville Fire Companys first due area and quickly went to several alarms as the fire was driven by high winds and snowy conditions. Several occupants were left homeless and assisted by the Red Cross.

The incident did over $6,000,000 in damage to the structure which is under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshal.

Units were on scene for over 3 hours before bringing the fire under control. Also, several more hours were spent doing overhaul and extingushment.

Nearby structures in the complex were spared fire damage by an aggressive defensive attack.
