Montgomery, NY - Shortly after 2pm on Friday, December 2nd, the Maybrook & Coldenham Fire Departments were alerted for a truck fire on I-84 in the Maybrook Fire District.

Maybrook Command Chief Charles Woznick called a working truck fire as he approached. Chief Woznick's first concern was to determine the contents of the trailer, which was household furniture, along with a motorcycle and a classic car.

It soon became evident that large quantities of water would be needed for this fire, so a substantial request for tankers was dispatched, bringing firefighters from many surrounding communities to the scene or on standby.
