Oct. 29, 2003
Police had the driver at a local hospital who insisted nobody else was in the truck but the truck had to be removed immediately as the Lake serves as the source of water for the nearby City of Newburgh.

Shortly before 4 am members of the Good Will & Vails Gate Fire Departments were alerted by Police of a Truck that had gone off the road and into the north end of Washington Lake.

Police had the driver at a local hospital who insisted nobody else was in the truck but the truck had to be removed immediately as the Lake serves as the source of water for the nearby City of Newburgh.

Good Will Incident Commander Chief Warren Decker arrived on scene and requested the Dive Team from the Monroe Mombasha Fire Company and a 2nd boat from Cronomer Valley.

Divers entered the water and located the Truck and verified there were no additional occupants and placed some slings around the truck and it was lifted by a crane from Quality Towing out of the Lake.
