Midlothian, Texas Firefighters Battle Haunted House Fire

On 10-4-2003 the Midlothian Fire Department in Midlothian, Texas was called to a routine smoke investigation. Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke and fire were visible in the back of a vacant building being used as a haunted house.

Additional engine companies from Midlothian, Ovilla and Cedar Hill were called to control the fire. Crews mounted an exterior attack due to several mazes inside the structure. The structure also contained numerous Halloween props, which would have made an interior an attack difficult.
