Saugus, Massachusetts, firefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire shortly after 6am on October 22nd.
First arriving units reported heavy smoke and fire showing from a 1 story ranch style house. A second alarm was sounded bringing a total of 6 engines and 2 ladders to the scene with 25 firefighters.
It took 1 hour to bring the fire under control. One firefighter received minor injuries after falling into a hole in the first floor. The fire is under investigation by local officials.
The occupants were away on vacation at the time of the fire.
