Working PA Building Fire

Fire companies arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire in the rear of the bldg and thru the roof.

Tinicum Township, Delaware County, Pa. Fire companies received a report of a working bldg fire at the Philly Diner. Police first called the incident in. Dispatchers reported receiving numerous calls for fire thru the roof.

Fire companies arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire in the rear of the bldg and thru the roof. An interior attack was initially attempted, but crews were quickly pushed back by intense fire conditions and a partial roof collapse within ten minutes of their arrival.

A 2nd alarm was sounded for manpower and water supply. Companies set up master stream devices and brought the fire under control in approximately 1 hour.

Companies on scene were, Lester, Essington, Prospect Park, Ridley Park, Parkside and Feltonville. The Pa state police fire marshal along with the County Detectives were called in for the investigation by the Tinicum Fire Marshall.
