Crews from Baltimore City responded to the area of Preston and Howard St's for a reported car vs. train accident.

Crews from Baltimore City responded to the area of Preston and Howard St's for a reported car vs. train accident.

They arrived to find a Light Rail car on top a car, the female passenger trapped up to her neck. A Heavy Rescue Assignment was dispatched, along with the Go Team from University of Maryland's Shock Trauma Center.

Extrication lasted nearly an hour. The train was lifted off the car and the patient removed. Both occupants were transported to the hospital. The out of state vehicle ran a red light and crossed into the path of the moving train.
