Firefighters Train in Live Burn Exercise in Hamel, Minnesota

The Hamel Fire Department in Hamel, Minnesota held a training burn Saturday October 11, 2003 in their coverage area. The burn took place at a donated large farm house in Medina, MN.

Companies from Lorreto and Maple Plain participated in the training sessions, focusing on initial attack, and hose streams.

Invaluable knowledge was gained from the instructors from the Anoka College fire training burn unit. These cities are undergoing rapid transformations from rural to suburban communities, with many large homes with long set backs and new neighborhoods being built.
