One Extricated From Hughsonville, New York Accident

Hughsonville, Dutchess County, New York -- On Tuesday October 25, 2005 about 5:40 pm, the Hughsonville Fire Department and Town of Wappinger's EMS responded to a serious injury accident on Route 9D and Old State Road in the Town of Wappingers.

Hughsonville, Dutchess County, New York -- On Tuesday October 25, 2005 about 5:40 pm, the Hughsonville Fire Department and Town of Wappinger's EMS responded to a serious injury accident on Route 9D and Old State Road in the Town of Wappingers.

Upon arrival of Hughsonville Chief Glen Kramer, he found a car into a tree and partially rolled over, with the victim unconscious and pinned.

Hughsonville firefighters stabilized the vehicle and performed extrication.

Firefighters cut the roof post on the driver's side and were able to remove the victim from the car in about 20 minutes.

The victim was then transported ALS to St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie.

The New York State Police are investigating this incident.
