Pennsylvania Crews Hold Mock Train Accident

To passer-bys, it looked like the real thing. On September 21st, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) and the Warminster Fire Department held a staged train accident at Street Road and Park Avenue in Warminster Township.

The training exercise on Box 90-10 was dispatched by Bucks County Department of Emergency Communications at 0922 hours. Chief Albert Carbone, of Warminster, arrived and reported a collision of a passenger train and a freight train with multiple victims. Arriving fire crews had to extinguish fires from a diesel fuel spill, force entry into the train cars to rescue the injured and also deal with an acetone
