On Tuesday, October 18, 2005, the Milan Area Fire Department was dispatched to a two story house fire on Darling Road, between Plank Road and Wanty Road. Engine 28-1 was the first unit on scene confirming a dwelling well off.
The MAFD requested mutual aid from Dundee Township Fire Department and London-Maybee-Raisinville Fire Department.
All three departments worked together to bring the fire under control within 45 minutes.
Nobody was home at the time of the blaze.
