I-90 Penn./Ohio State Line Motor Vehicle Accident

Two California Teens are extremely lucky after an ride they soon will not forget. The accident happened about 7:00 AM on Friday August 22, 2003 in the eastbound lane of Interstate 90 near the Pennsylvania-Ohio border.

Two California Teens are extremely lucky after an ride they soon will not forget. The accident happened about 7:00 AM on Friday August 22, 2003 in the eastbound lane of Interstate 90 near the Pennsylvania-Ohio border.

The teens were driving a Honda Civic that swerved, flipped over and came to rest in a drainage ditch filled with about 4 feet of water.

The two were pinned by the collapsed roof, and luckily the driver was conscious and able to hold his head above water.

Paramedics and fire crews waded into the water to initially check the status of the patient
