August 21, 2003 -- Just after 9:00 AM Bucks and Montgomery Counties Fire and EMS units were dispatched for multiple electrocutions at JDM Materials and Concrete, 451 E. Reliance Rd in Telford Boro.

Units arrived to find a crane had struck a 7200kv power line, the crane was on fire and there were three victims down. Rescue crews were unable to access the victims because the power lines and the crane were still energized. Pennsylvania Power & Light (PP&L) turned the power off and firefighters knocked the fire with dry chemical extinguishers.

All three workers were pronounced dead at the scene. Telford Police reported that the operator of the crane was thrown from the crane when its boom came in contact with the power lines. The two other workers came to his assistance and attempted to start CPR; however one worker apparently made contact with the crane and electrocuted both of them.

Authorities are currently investigating the accident.
