Firefighters in Derby, CT fought a garage fire on the night of August 16th. Initial reports came in at approximately 4am to Derby fire communications center reporting an explosion and fully involved structure.
First arriving firefighters confirmed a fully involved garage with an exposure problem to a nearby house. Firefighters used two 1 3/4" attack lines and a 2 1/2" line to control the fire. All occupants of the house were out and no one suffered any injuries. Two adjacent houses suffered damage from radiant heat.
