Oklahoma Firefighters Fight Gasoline Tanker Fire

A fuel tanker carrying 8000 gallons of unleaded fuel and 800 gallons of diesel overturned and ignited after a passenger car forced the driver of the fuel tanker to take evasive action to avoid a collision.

A fuel tanker carrying 8000 gallons of unleaded fuel and 800 gallons of diesel overturned and ignited after a passenger car forced the driver of the fuel tanker to take evasive action to avoid a collision, as a result the fuel tanker collided with a concrete center median.

There were three vehicles involved in the fire but everyone escaped without injury. The Moore Fire Department was assisted in bringing the fire under control by the Norman, OK Fire Department and a foam unit from the Air Guard at Will Rodgers Airport in Oklahoma City. Other agencies on the scene were: Moore Emergency Management, Moore Public Works, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Midwest City Ambulance, Oklahoma City Police Department
