Los Angeles County Fire Department Engine, Truck 164, Squad, and AMR Ambulance were dispatched to the 2000 block of East Slauson Boulevard for a "T.C. person trapped" in Huntington Park, California.

A man lost control of his car, knocking over a light pole and hit a tree. The impact of the crash spit the vehicle in two, partially uprooting the tree from the ground, causing it to lean up against a one story building.

L.A. County firefighters utilized the "Jaws" and "Cutters" to extricate the man trapped in the car. A Firefighter also utilized a chain saw to cut away branches that may have hindered the rescue.

The man was extricated in approximately one hour and transported to a local area hospital via AMR Ambulance in serious condition.

Noticeably, the blue coil and silver tank hanging out of the vehicles trunk were not tools belonging to the Fire Department.

High speeds contributed to this late night single car accident.
