On Monday, August 22, 2005, at approximately 9:30 pm, Engine Company 6 and Tower Ladder 1 were dispatched to North 5th Street and Byron Street for a reported vehicle fire.
While responding from fire headquarters, the engine and truck were updated by fire communications that they were getting reports of 4 vehicles involved from the police on scene. Upon arrival, Engine 6 grabbed a hydrant and stretched 2, 1- 3/4 handlines to extinguish the fires.
No injuries were reported.
