Structural Collapse with Entrapment in Camden City, New Jersey

Units were alerted in the Camden around 9:50 am, for a structural collapse.

Units were alerted in the Camden around 9:50 am, for a structural collapse.

Responding to the box was Squad 7, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1. Enroute, County Radio notified units of 1 occupant being trapped.

Crews arrived to find the front portches to have collapsed at 4 of the dwellings. Witnesses stated a neighbor had pulled the trapped occupant from the wreckage.

The occupant was transported by EMS.

Crews searched the dwellings and debris to find no other occupants trapped.

Public Service was requested to the scene to secured the electic and gas.

No firefighter injuries were reported.

The collapse is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals.
