A fast moving 3 Alarm Fire raced through the Heather Ridge Apartments off Parkville Station Road in West Deptford Township, New Jersey (Gloucester County).

Sept 1, 2005 -- A fast moving 3 Alarm Fire raced through the Heather Ridge Apartments off Parkville Station Road in West Deptford Township, New Jersey (Gloucester County).

The Fire destroyed 3 or 4 apartments and damaged 6 others before the blaze was undercontrol. The fire started about 7pm when neighbors saw smoke coming from the building and called the fire department.

First in units found heavy smoke and fire showing from the F building section of the large 20 unit apartment complex.

It took over 2 hours to bring the fire under contol by firefighters from all four West Deptford Township companies.

Green-Field, Thorofare, Colonial Manor and Verga, along with companies from Woodbury Heights, Paulsboro, Mantua and Wenonah, plus EMS units from the area.

A few firefighters were treated for smoke and heat at the scene by local EMS.
