Northfield Fire & Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire on the west side of town.
Squad 29 was first to arrive, and found a heavy fire blowing out of the garage.
Chief 2900 arrived and upgraded to a full, still alarm for the working structure fire.
Fire fighters from Squad 29 laid a 2- 1/2 to the front door were there was access to the garage, and Winnetka Truck 28 was sent to open the roof.
No injuries were reported and the fire was knocked down in about 45 min.
