MVC with Heavy Entrapment in Texas

Ingleside (Texas) Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported MVC with heavy entrapment on Highway 361, South of the City at 7:17 pm.

Ingleside (Texas) Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported MVC with heavy entrapment on Highway 361, South of the City at 7:17 pm.

Upon arrival crews found 1 female trapped in a Ford Explorer. Heavy front end damage and injuries to the customers lower body hampered extrication efforts.

Tri-County Ambulance and a HALO Flight crew worked to stabilize, and assisted in extrication of, the customer. On scene personnel worked as efficiently as possible in the heat and approaching darkness to perform the difficult extrication.

The customer was fully removed from the vehicle at 2018 and transported to Spohn Memorial in Corpus Christi by HALO Flight.

The Explorer was apparently traveling southeast on Highway 361 through an intersection when it hit a trailer being towed by a pickup truck. The truck and trailer were crossing the Highway to turn northbound onto 361 at the intersection.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. There were no passengers in the Explorer.
