Firefighters Battle Pomeroy, Washington Blaze
On the night of August 6, 2005 members of the Asotin County Fire District #1 in Clarkston, Washington responded to assist Garfield County Fire District on the school fire near Pomeroy, Washington.
On the night of August 6, 2005 members of the Asotin County Fire District #1 in Clarkston, Washington responded to assist Garfield County Fire District on the school fire near Pomeroy, Washington.
Fire had flared up earlier in the day and the unit made a defensive stand on the Iron Springs Road at the head of the fire. Asotin County Fire District #1, Pomeroy Ranger District crew, and Garfield County Fire held the fire at the road.
Units also provided structure protection on the Northern flank during the night.
