At approximately 10:35 PM a car lost control skidding across the road and into a house located on the corner or Princess Joann and Princess Arlene. Division Chief Howard Rayon with the Santee Fire Department stated that units were dispatched to a vehicle into a structure, when they arrived they found the car in the kitchen with no injuries to any persons at the scene.

The fire department also inspected the house for structural damage prior to allowing persons to occupy. The vehicle finally came to rest in the kitchen after the driver, a16 year old female, lost control and skidded across the road though the fence and hedges, stopping inside the house after dislodging the counter and most of the contents in the dining room. Sgt. Tom Poulin of the San Diego Sheriffs office said this incident was under investigation but speed was probably a factor in this collision.

The owners of the residence were not at home at the time but their 19 year old son was. He said he was in the living room waiting for a friend to drop by at the time of the collision when he heard the car skidding and jumped across the room thinking that it might hit the house.
