The Snow Camp Volunteer Fire Department held a training burn on Saturday, July 12, 2003.
The training exercise, which was held at a 150-year old 3-story vacant wood frame house, gave firefighters from the Snow Camp and Eli Whitney fire districts a chance to practice a variety of techniques in a realistic environment.
Scenarios included 2 and 3-room fire attacks, as well as finding and extinguishing extension to the second floor.
Approximately 30 firefighters participated in the exercise, which is one of several scheduled for the year.
