Fruit Tray Manufacturing Plant Fire in Washington

This business manufactures trays for the apple packing plants in central Washington State. The trays are heated to 600 degrees during the forming process and then packaged and set outside for delivery.

The general thinking is that some of the trays hadn't cooled enough, ultimately starting the fire.

The neighboring businesses said that they were about a week away from installing a sensor system to see if the tray bundles had cooled enough before storing them.
