On June 17, 2003 firefighters responded to a blaze at 643 State Street Perth Amboy, NJ at 0650hrs.
Upon arrival, occupants of the building had self evacuated and heavy smoke was present on the #2 floor. As members were getting off apparatus, fire flashed out front windows.
An aggressive attack confined a major portion of the fire to the front room and front portion of the attic, with smoke and heat damage to the 2nd floor. Salvage operations on the #1 floor limited water damage. Although exposure B was separated by only a 3' alley, no exposure damage occurred.
