Long Grove firefighters responded to a report of a brush fire on Old Hicks Road to find a fully involved house burning in a heavy wooded area.
Squad 55 was the first responding unit on scene and quickly asked for a upgrade to a code 3 response for more help due to the long lead outs and no hydrants in this area of town.
Mutual aid with an engine from palatine and a truck from buffalo grove and tanker from Fox Lake and Palatine Rural.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
