New York Firefighters Respond to House Fire

On Saturday June 14, the Rombout Fire Department in Fishkill, NY and Alamo Ambulance responded to a reported structure fire.

On Saturday June 14, at 14:05 hours, the Rombout Fire Department in Fishkill, NY and Alamo Ambulance responded to a reported structure fire at 39 Hampshire Rd in the Brinkerhoff area.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke followed by flames emerging from the residence. The neighbors alerted the residents and they got out safely. The fire destroyed the attic area of the house but was contained to that area by firefighters.

The Village of Fishkill Fire Department responded with one engine to assist at the scene. The Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division and the Town of Fishkill PD were on scene assisting with the investigation. The Glenham Fire Department provided standby for Rombout at Rombout Station One.

There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
