    Firefighters Tackle Downtown Bastrop, Texas Blaze

    Some 62 firefighters, representing units from Elgin, Smithville, Circle D, Five Points, Heart of the Pines, Bluebonnet Acres and FCI Volunteer Fire Departments, pitched in to help Bastrop firefighters.

    The call came at 5:10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, May 13. The voice on the phone was that of Tom Scott, Mayor of Bastrop.
