Firefighters in the City of Trenton battled exhaustive humidity when they were called to a mid-day fire in the 1300 block of South Broad Street on July 14, 2005.

Initial reports of "People Trapped" proved to be erroneous as the lone resident had already escaped with the assistance of annonymous bystanders.

First arriving firefighters from Engine 3 reported heavy fire venting from windows on the second floor of a duplex.

A total of 4 engines, 2 Ladders and the Rescue along with two ambulances and the rehab unit from Trenton EMS responded to the incident. Two city firefighters were treated for burns.
