Units from The Ocean City Wright and City of Fort Walton Beach Fire Departments responded to a structure fire early this morning.

Units from The Ocean City Wright and City of Fort Walton Beach Fire Departments responded to a structure fire early this morning.

Chief 1 from Ocean City was first arriving and reported a single story structure with a working fire.

The fire was confined to a laundry room at the end of a car port with some extension into the adjacent living room.

Units responding include Ocean City Engine's 1 and 2, Ladder 1, Chief 1, Assistant Chief 1, and Battalion 1.

Engine 7 and Battalion Chief 6 from the City of Fort Walton Beach Fire Department also responded.

Units cleared were dispatched at around 420 hours and were on scene for two and a half hours.

The fire started in the laundry room in the area of the breaker panel.
